Glory Win 1-0 Over Fury
By: Ben | July 18th, 2009
Perth Glory knocked off North Queensland 1-0 today down in Mandurah with club stalwart Jamie Harnwell scoring the winner.
Harnwell slotted the game’s only goal in the 17th minute, although the victory should have been by more as Glory dominated the game against the A-League newboys.
New signing Chris Coyne made his debut in defence and was dominant alongside Andy Todd, with keeper Tando Velaphi not tested until well into the second-half.
Branko Jelic also made his first appearance for Glory in the second-half. Mile Sterjovski was dangerous again too.
The match attracted 2780 fans down in Mandurah and Glory will have another pre-season warm-up down south when they face Gold Coast in Bunbury next weekend.

finals would be nice Kieran… finally. after such a long wait… and realistically i think thats the goal, a few finals in perth. I dont expect us to win it this season, I fancy the new professional Sydney FC, Melbourne or GCU.
